Adam most recently directed Peter Pan GoesWrong for Mischief Theatre (Apollo Theatre 2015-16, 2016-17 and UK tour)nominated for Best New Comedy, Olivier Awards 2016. The production wasbroadcast on BBC1 New Year’s Eve 2016.

He is the co-creator and director ofShowstopper! The Improvised Musical, the first improvised show ever to wina major theatre award (Oliver Award winner - Best Entertainment and Family2016).Showstopper! has played in eleven countries and BBC Radio 4. It also won aChortle Comedy Award for Best Improv, Character or Sketch, 2016.

He is the Artistic Director ofExtemporeTheatre (www.extemporetheatre.com) a company dedicatedto new writing, innovation and improvisation.

Adam also created The Terror Seasons (Europe’sonly annual festival of horror theatre and Grand Guignol). Contributors haveincluded Neil LaBute, Mark Ravenhill, Anthony Neilson, Lucy Kirkwood, AprilDeAngelis and Jack Thorne.

In 2005, Adam founded The School Of Night withhis mentor Ken Campbell, and the record-breaking London 50 Hour Improvathon,which plays annually. In association with Tom Morris and the Bristol Old VicTheatre, Adam co-created the Bristol and London ‘Jams’ (The UK’s largestprofessional festivals of improvised performance). He also holds the worldrecord in directing long-form improvisation – 55 hours in Toronto, 2013.

Adam obtained a BA in Drama and TheatreArts(Directing and Writing – 1st Class with distinction) and trained atWebberDouglas. He teaches acting and improvisation all over the country. From2007-2016 he was Head of Foundation at LAMDA and is an associate director of theNational Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

Adam co-wrote and directed Burlesque,which won4 OFFIES in 2012, including Best New Musical. He won the Spirit of the FringeAward in 2009 and 2011 and has been nominated for the Peter Brook Empty SpaceAward in 2007, Total Theatre Awards in 2008 and 2009, two MTMAwards in 2009 andthe Chortle Award for best Music or Variety Act 2011.
