Andrew Clifford is an experienced screenwriter who divides his time equally between drama and comedy. His sit-com DAD for Blue Ink/RTE was produced as a pilot for RTE and broadcast in 2019. His psychological thriller feature HOTEL GUKUMATZ has been optioned and developed by RAW TV and is currently seeking finance. He is developing an original drama series MY SON THE LAWYER for The Mob; a horror movie, DISTURBED, developed with director Ben Mallaby, is out to producers. Andrew was co-lead writer on the original TV drama A MONSTER’S SHRINK, with legendary French auteur Joann Sfar, for Red Productions/Canal Plus. Previously, Andrew was writer and script producer on 50-part detective series JUDGE DEE for 87 Films, and wrote an original comedy feature for Matt Lucas’s John Stanley Films. Cutting his teeth on comedy shows like SMACK THE PONY and MR BEAN, Andrew has also contributed to CASUALTY. His first feature script LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU was optioned by producer David Parfitt and Miramax. Andrew has a distinctive dramatic voice and a wicked sense of humour.
