THE GRINNING MAN premiered at Bristol Old Vic/ATG in Autumn 2016 (dir. Tom Morris) and transfers to the Trafalgar Studios in London from December 2017. 

Original musicals currently in development for the National Theatre are THE CIRCLE (dir. Michael Boyd) with Tim Phillips and GHOST MAP (dir. Bijan Sheibani) with Ryan Craig and Glyn Maxwell. Marc is also developing HONEYFLY for the Soho Theatre with Phil Porter and THE MAGICIAN’S ELEPHANT for the Royal Shakespeare Company with Nancy Harris.

His musical BADDIES, co-written with Nancy Harris, premiered at the Unicorn Theatre in November 2015 and was nominated for an Off West End Award for Best Production for Young People (dir. Purni Morell).

Previous commissions for the Royal Opera House include STUCK ON A SUNDAY (made into an animated film by BAFTA-winning Marc Craste with the support of the BFI) and TWITTERDAEMMERUNG, winner of The Guardian Innovation Award.

Scores for plays includes THE RED SHOES for the Gate Theatre in Dublin (dir. Selina Cartmell), BLOOD & GIFTS at the National Theatre (dir. Howard Davies), GIVING at the Hampstead Theatre (dir. Bijan Sheibani), ADOT for the Royal Albert Hall, DOES MY SOCIETY LOOK BIG IN THIS? at the Bristol Old Vic (dir. Tom Morris) and THE SECRET AGENT at the Young Vic (dir. Joseph Alford).

Marc wrote the soundtrack for the feature horror BEACON 77 (dir. Brad Watson) and for his work on the animated film HEARTS he was nominated for the Berlin Film Festival’s VW Soundtrack Award (dir. Thomas Strueck). His soundtrack to the animated film MISSING won the Best Music for an Animated Film at the Berlin Independent Film Festival (dir. Cristian Wiesenfeld). Marc has recently written the music for Marina Waltz’s multi-award winning art films SUICIDE NOTE, PRIVATE WALTZ and QUERCUS.

Marc has had music featured in GAME OF THRONES, AMERICAN HORROR STORY and currently has a musical television series in the works with Tim Phillips.
