Tribeca Film Festival Announces World Narrative Entries03/11/2010
Casarotto are proud to announce that ‘MY BROTHERS,’ PAUL FRASER’S directorial debut written by WILLIAM COLLINS; and ‘SNAP’ written and directed by CARMEL WINTERS, will premiere at the 9th Tribeca Film Festival. Both films have been selected for this year’s World Narrative Competition at the festival.
The festival will take place between April 21st – May 2nd.

BROADCASTING PRESS GUILD - 36th Annual TV and Radio Awards 201003/03/2010
Congratulations to Casarotto clients Will Smith, Roger Drew and Sean Gray who were part of the writing team on BBC2’s ‘The Thick of It’ which has received the following nominations at the 36th Annual TV and Radio Awards:

HIS & HERS win top prize at JDIFF03/02/2010
Ken Wardrop’s documentary HIS & HERS received further accolades at the 2010 Jameson Dublin International Film Festival. It scooped the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for Best Documentary and went on to win the Audience Award.
Director of Photography, Kate McCullough was also awarded the inaugural Michael Dwyer Discovery Award for her work on the film.

Royal Television Society Award Nominations Announced03/01/2010
Casarotto are delighted to announce that drama series CAST OFFS, which was created and written by Jack Thorne and co-directed by Miranda Bowen, has been nominated for Best Drama Series at the Royal Television Society Awards.
Both RED RIDING, written by Tony Grisoni, and UNFORGIVEN, directed by David Evans have received nominations for Best Drama Serial, whilst Casarotto clients Will Smith and Roger Drew, and Sean Gray were part of the writing team on BBC2’s THE THICK OF IT, receiving a nomination for Best Scripted Comedy.
The Awards celebrate all genres of television programming, from children’s fiction to comedy performance, history to soaps. Covering both national and regional output the Programme Awards aim to recognise the work of exceptional actors, presenters, writers and production teams, as well honouring the programmes themselves.
Chaired by Wayne Garvie, the Awards will be presented at a ceremony on the 16 March at the Grosvenor Hotel.

IFTA Awards 201002/22/2010
Director Ken Wardrop’s stunning film, HIS & HERS, won the award for Best Feature Documentary at the 2010 Irish Film and Television Awards. The film was produced by Andrew Freedman and Venom Films. Congratulation to both!
