Casarotto would like to congratulate all our clients whose films have received nominations for the 2012 BAFTA Film Awards, announced on Tuesday, 17th January.

'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' lead the charge. The film adapted by PETER STRAUGHAN and Bridget O'Connor from the book by John Le Carre received an incredible 11 nominations, including: BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY and BEST FILM. It went on to pick up nominations for Best Director, Leading Actor, Original Music, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, Costume and Sound.
'The Descendants' adapted from the novel by KAUI HART HEMMINGS and 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' adapted from the novel by LIONEL SHRIVER both picked up three nominations each, as did writer MANISH PANDEY's 'Senna' which includes nominations for BEST DOCUMENTARY and Best Editing.

'Tinker Tailor', 'Kevin' and 'Senna' along with STEVE MCQUEEN's much anticipated 'Shame' (released last weekend to great critical acclaim) took four of the five nominations for the OUTSTANDING BRITISH FILM AWARD.
DAVID YATES' final film in the Harry Potter saga, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II' picked up four craft award nominations in the categories of Production Design, Make Up & Hair, Sound and Special Visual Effects.
The winners will be announced at the BAFTA Film Award Ceremony on 12th February.
