Huge congratulations to Manish Pandey and James Gay-Rees for SENNA's success at the 2011 British Film Awards.

The film won Best Documentary at this year's BIFA awards ceremony, held at Old Billingsgate Market in Central London last night.  Other shortlisted docs included HELL AND BACK AGAIN, LIFE IN A DAY, PROJECT NIM and TT3D: CLOSER TO THE EDGE.  The film also won the Sundance World Cinema – Documentary Audience Award earlier this year.

Produced by Working Title Films and directed by Asif Kapadia, SENNA broke UK box office records on its opening weekend in June 2011 and went on to become the biggest grossing British documentary of all time with box office of more than £3m. It has received a wide release internationally through Universal and to date has earned more than $12m at the box office.

The film was released on DVD in the UK on 11 October 2011.
