RISE films and Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, in association with Sight & Sound are proud to announce a new initiative for emerging screenwriters.

The three organisations will launch a competition at the beginning of June 2008, through which currently
unrepresented writers may apply and one will be selected and have the chance to receive a development deal with RISE films and representation from Casarotto Ramsay & Associates. The winner will be selected in early 2009.

Entrants will be required to submit a first draft of their feature film before 26th September 2008, at which point a rigorous selection process will commence to find the script with the most potential, from a writer whose career is ready for the next step and would benefit from having first class representation. All submissions will be made to RISE films.
