With over a decade’s experience as a comedy writer, Heidi has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the stand-up comedy ranks. She has won two of the most coveted prizes in comedy; the So You Think You’re Funny? title at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016 and the BBC New Comedy Award prize in 2017. She has since gigged around the world, including performances at the prestigious Just For Laughs in Montreal and Heidi recently supported Joe Lycett on tour.
As a writer Heidi, who moved to the UK ten years ago, has won a plethora of awards including the Australian Writers’ Guild Award for the Best Unproduced Feature Film Script, and she currently has a number of projects in development, with both a TV and film script under option and two commissions for Radio 4. Heidi has written for Kinne Tonight and Orange Is The New Brown in Australia, Newsjack, Have I Got News For You, The Now Show (where she will also guest on the next series) and The News Quiz as well as contributing to BBC Three online.
After sold out runs with her debut show Heidi vs Sharks at the Edinburgh Fringe 2018 and the Soho Theatre (with extra dates added to both), Heidi followed up this August with her eagerly awaited second show Heidi Kills Time, which was a smash hit among critics and audiences alike.
Heidi is a regular guest on The Guilty Feminist podcast, and live tour, as well as co hosting the Grown Up Land podcast for Radio 4. She is also the host of the brand new Global podcast, A Thin Layer of Film, which launches on the 13th January 2020.
