Helen Cripps


Helen is an actor and comedy writer-performer. An alumni of the Cambridge Footlights, Helen has appeared in a number of high profile television and theatre productions.

She appears in both series of Channel 4 and Netflix’s absurdist black comedy Flowers, BAFTA nominated film Black Pond, E4’s Anna & Katy, and the BBC’s Josh and Horne and Corden.

Helen is an accomplished stage actor with credits including Persuasion at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Phyllida Lloyd’s all-female Julius Caesar at the Donmar Warehouse and St. Ann’s Warehouse New York, The Low Road at the Royal Court Theatre, and Earthquakes in London for the National Theatre. Most recently Helen has appeared in Women Beware Women at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, in the role of Ward.

She also created the popular web series Self Tapes with Sophia Di Martino, and this year has taken a show, Anna & Helen: Stuck in a Rat, to the Edinburgh Fringe with long-term comedy partner Anna O’Grady.

Helen has recently had a comedy script in development with Tiger Aspect and also reached the final three of the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award.
