Comedy award-winning, critically acclaimed and socially conscious clown, Helen Duff is alumni of ‘French master clown’ Phillipe Gaulier. Holding a BA Hons in Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Helen is a professionally trained presenter, actress and comedian.

Her first solo show, Vanity Bites Back, won a Fringe First nomination at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was subsequently selected for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival and Perth Fringe World. A clown cookery show about anorexia, it won a Pick of the Festival Award at VAULT Festival, London before completing a 5 star rated tour of regional theatres across the UK. The same year, Helen was also a semi-finalist in the So You Think You're Funny Awards and more recently a finalist in the Amused Moose New Act Awards 2017.

Subsequent shows, Come With Me, When The Going Gets Duff and How Deep is Your Duff have been discussing female sexuality, with the latter having recently been released as a special on Next Up.

Alongside her solo shows, Helen is also a sought after children’s performer, a regular face of Comedy Club 4 Kids, she also is the resident tutor for SEN children at Attenborough Arts Centre in Leicester and for the last two years has been travelling to Bangladesh with Clowns Without Borders to perform and teach children about hygiene and consent. Helen has also filmed a teaser for a new care home doc. called Funny In The Head, tackling the subject of dementia with comedy performance.

As an actor Helen has starred in a number of sketches for BBC Three, Ch4 and the recent Holmes And Watson reboot with Will Ferrell and John C Reilly.

Helen is currently working on her next solo show Helen Duff Is The Tits, an upcoming podcast on female pleasure Come As You Are, and her first scripted project. She has also been a part of a number of non-TX tasters for Channel 4. Most recently, Helen made her TV debut on The Mash Report for BBC Two, appearing as relationship advisor Trudy.
