Comedy award-winning, critically acclaimed and socially conscious clown, Helen Duff started performing comedy in 2014. An alumni of ‘French master clown’ Phillipe Gaulier and holding a BA Hons in Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Helen is a professionally trained actress and comedian, currently appearing in the new Holmes and Watson feature film with Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.

Her first solo show, Vanity Bites Back, won a Fringe First nomination at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was subsequently selected for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival and Perth Fringe World. A clown cookery show about anorexia, it won a Pick of the Festival Award at VAULT Festival, London before completing a 5 star rated tour of regional theatres across the UK. The same year, Helen was also a semi-finalist in the So You Think You're Funny Awards.

In 2017 Helen reached the finals of the Amused Moose New Act Awards and last year’s show How Deep is your Duff has been picked up by Next Up to film a special early this year. In 2018 Helen travelled to Bangladesh with Clowns without Borders to perform and teach children about hygiene and consent. Helen has also filmed a teaser for a new care home doc. called ‘Funny In The Head’, tackling the subject of dementia in old people with comedy.
