Molly O’Shea is a bright young screenwriter and performer based in London mentored by Oscar and Palme D’or award-winning screenwriter and director Dame Jane Campion. Molly’s debut one woman show MISS FORTUNATE premiered at The Vault Festival in March and received rave reviews. She has just been awarded a grant from the Shore Scripts Film Fund to adapt the play into a short film which she is shooting this month and will star in alongside Ben Whishaw (directed by Ella Jones). The short film and play are based on Molly’s experience of losing her mother at 21, finding herself with no living relatives, three cats, a crush on a boy and no idea what to do about any of it. Molly is also writing a TV version of MISS FORTUNATE as well as a comedy feature film.
