Writer, comedian, and cinema-obsessive Nathan Roberts is a graduate of the University of Westminster, the Royal Court Young Writers Programme, and the Soho Theatre Comedy Lab.
Nathan has written several successful short films, with his last short being awarded Best Film as part of the 48-Hour Sci Fi Challenge. His ambitious work has been well-received by audiences all over the world, and screened at the esteemed London Short Film Festival.
Since starting comedy in 2014 Nathan has been nominated for the BBC Radio New Comedy Award, and featured as a semi-finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny competition.
In 2018 he received the BBC’s prestigious Felix Dexter bursary through which he has been developing a pilot with the assistance of the BBC Writersroom and Comedy Commissioning department. In addition to this, he has written for high-profile shows like BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show and The News Quiz, BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack and Newsjack Unplugged, and BBC Three’s Quickies.
In the wake of the Felix Dexter bursary Nathan made his solo debut hour at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe and developing several exciting new projects.
