Matthew Leys

Matt is a highly experienced drama, comedy and children’s writer. He has written for numerous children’s shows including THE DUMPING GROUND, ME & MY MONSTERS, SLACKER CATS and DUDE THAT’S MY GHOST. He wrote 9 episodes of the International Emmy award winning children’s series BING and was also script editor, consultant and episodic writer on the hit CBBC series MILLIE INBETWEEN and its spin-off series FLATMATES.

Matt started his writing career on CASUALTY, THE BILL and THE WORLD OF LEE EVANS amongst others, and has contributed to sketch shows such as JON CULSHAW’S IMPRESSION SHOW and STAND UP FOR THE WEEK.

He often co-writes with Martin Trenaman and together they have a sitcom in development with Fudge Park Productions, as well as a third series of their comedy BRAVO TWO CHARLIES for BBC Radio Wales.
