Alison Spittle

Alison Spittle is an award-winning screenwriter, actress and comedian.

She is the creator, writer and star of the TV series NOWHERE FAST which aired on RTE2 to critical acclaim in 2017. Alison was later commissioned by Sky to write and star in her own comedy short called ALISON SPITTLE - IN IRELAND which Baby Cow produced. Alison’s original comedy script, SAIL & RAIL, is currently in development with Baby Cow. Other recent screen work includes two animated short stories for Kite Entertainment. 

Her play STARLET premiered to great acclaim at the Dublin Fringe Festival, garnering 5 stars from The Sunday Times. As a performer Alison can regularly be heard on THE GUILTY FEMINIST and BBC Radio 4’s GROWN UP LAND. On RTE’s hit series THE REPUBLIC OF TELLY Alison wrote and performed her own segment, A GUIDE TO MULLINGAR. Alison also hosts podcasts THE ALISON SPITTLE SHOW and WHEEL OF MISFORTUNE. Alison also wrote on James Acaster's SPRINGLEAF, and is a regular writer on entertainment shows such as NEWSJACK and HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU.
