Andrew Sheridan

Andrew trained as an actor at Rose Bruford and has performed extensively in award-winning theatre, TV and film. Andrew’s debut play WINTERLONG won the 2008 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting. In 2011 the play opened at The Royal Exchange Studio, Manchester, directed by Sarah Frankcom, and subsequently transferred to Soho Theatre, London. Andrew’s play HOPE, LIGHT & NOWHERE was produced at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival and in 2014 he was the recipient of the Tom Erhardt Award for emerging writers. In 2018 his play PAULDING LIGHT was shortlisted for the Nick Darke Award. In 2020 Andrew’s adaptation of Brontë ’s classic WUTHERING HEIGHTS opened at Manchester Royal Exchange to both popular and critical acclaim. Andrew is currently in development for an original TV comedy. His passion is for telling untold, Northern stories.
