Best known as a script editor Angeli has transitioned to writing her own. Since 2018 she has been Development Producer on six features films for Film London, BBC Film and the British Film Institute. She was Associate Producer on Screen Ireland funded It Is In Us All by actor/director Antonia Campbell Hughes and in 2022 her first feature as writer premiered at the Locarno Film Festival: Lola was co-written and directed by Andrew Legge and distributed in 2023 by Signature. Angeli worked with director Christian Ditter on a rewrite of feature adaptation of Michael Ende’s Momo for Constantin. She is currently writing Sisters with director Terry Loane for Lee Magiday/Sleeper Films and Cineman Films and she adapted Clare Chambers’ quiet novel about female liberation Small Pleasures as a feature. We are currently going out with her original erotic thriller Watching Birds and her inter-generational familial love story Umbilical for the stage. On her production slate she also has an adaptation of Nobel prize winning Sigrid Undset’s famous novel Gunnar’s Daughter which has been written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz for Rebecca to direct and Coda by writer/director Asitha Amereskere with co producer Noel Qualter. Both films are currently financing.
