Angeli has recently transitioned from story editing supporting other’s projects to producing and writing her own. Since 2018 she has been Development Producer on six feature films for Film London, BBC Film and the British Film Institute. She was Associate Producer on Screen Ireland funded It Is In Us All by actor/director Antonia Campbell Hughes and in 2022 her first feature as writer premiered at the Locarno Film Festival: Lola was co-written and directed by Andrew Legge and distributed in 2023 by Signature. She is currently writing Sisters with director Terry Loane for Lee Magiday/Sleeper Films and Cineman Films and an adaptation of Clare Chambers’ quiet novel about female liberation Small Pleasures for Shy Punk Productions as a TV single. Angeli wrote the short film Deliverance for director Bim Ajad, Artemis Films, Film4 and the BFI with Farhana Bhula and Alice Cabañas executive producing. We are currently going out with her original erotic thriller feature Watching Birds and her inter-generational familial love story Umbilical for the stage. On her production slate she also has an adaptation of Nobel prize winning Sigrid Undset’s famous novel Gunnar’s Daughter which has been written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz for Rebecca to direct and Coda by writer/director Asitha Amereskere with co producer Noel Qualter. Both films are currently financing.
