Carla F. Rossi

Born and bred Londoner Carla read literature and creative writing before moving into production and cutting her teeth writing directing and producing short films. After a stint in LA Carla moved to New York to join VICE where she made documentaries for two years before returning home to start a family. During this time, she taught herself screenwriting and completed multiple scripts. Carla’s writing is deeply personal and often explores the unspoken fragile truths of motherhood, through a variety of lenses. She has recently completed a short film starring Lily Allen as a proof of concept for her debut feature Marianne, are you happy? And she has a small handful of feature specs she continues to develop exploring uncomfortable themes with an unflinching gaze across genres and period.
