Daniel writes for film, TV and theatre and is currently writing an episode for the final series of Netflix’s THE CROWN.

He began his TV career working in drama development for Eleven Films (SEX EDUCATION) and then joined THE CROWN writing team in 2016 – starting as a story researcher before becoming a staff writer on Season 5 and 6.

He is also developing several original projects for the screen including a political drama and an Essex-set drama about a shopping channel. As a writer/director, his short films, FUTURES (2018) and CONTE ANGLAIS (2019) have screened at BAFTA-qualifying festivals including the London Short Film Festival, Flickers' Rhode Island and PÖFF Shorts in Tallinn.

A graduate of the Soho Theatre Writers' Lab and Lyric Hammersmith Young Writers Programme, his short plays have been performed at Theatre503 and the Arcola Theatre. In 2020, he was shortlisted for the London Magazine Short Story Prize and selected as one of 40 participants—out of 800 applicants—in the London Library Emerging Writers Programme. His prose writing has previously appeared in the Times Literary Supplement, Literary Review and the London Magazine.
