David is a Black British screenwriter, award-winning director and current participant of the BFI Network x BAFTA Crew. He’s also developing a sci-fi feature set on an inner-city council estate, and has recently scripted a 6-part true crime podcast for Global.
As a director, David helmed a 4-part factual entertainment series for Sky Arts and has had two shorts broadcast on Channel 4 through Random Acts. Last year, he was mentored by BAFTA-winner Lucy Forbes, shadowing her on THE END OF THE F***ING WORLD and IN MY SKIN. David also won the Directors UK x ARRI Challenge Alexa 2020, through which he is due to direct a new short film in spring/summer 2021. Prior to his scripted work, he worked as Creative Director at Rankin’s production company and also directed music videos and commercials for the likes of O2, The Guardian, and Beats by Dr Dre.
