Eleanor Tindall

Eleanor is a writer from London. Her debut play BEFORE I WAS A BEAR premiered at The Bunker Theatre to critical acclaim, gaining her a nomination for Best Writer at The Stage Debut Awards in 2020 & returning for a sold out run at Soho Theatre in June 2022. They have been a member of Soho Theatre Writers Lab and has previously taken part in writing workshops run by the Almeida & HighTide. She was selected for BBC Voices in June 2024 from a nationwide open call. Recently, Eleanor was commissioned by the Donmar Warehouse to adapt Macbeth for young audiences. Their adaptation, MACBETH: SOMETHING WICKED toured schools across Camden and Westminster from June-July 2024 and reached over 3500 young people. Eleanor’s play TENDER was a finalist for the Ambassador Theatre Group's playwriting prize in association with Platform Presents and premiered at the Bush Theatre Studio in November 2024 and was revived in July 2026 in the Bush's Holloway main space, published by Nick Hern Books & co-produced by Broccoli Arts & Jessie Anand Productions. Eleanor’s new play, WHAT IF ORPHEUS WAS FOUR SAD WOMEN, was one of the five plays shortlisted for the Verity Bargate Award 2024. It was also longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize 2025 and is being developed as part of Soho Theatre’s ReDraft programme. She is currently writing a new play as part of the National Youth Theatre’s 2026 Storyfest.
