Emma is a producer who has accumulated 11 years of experience and training in story and script development. She is currently producing Red Planet's "Death in Paradise" in Guadeloupe for BBC, additionally acting as a cultural advisor on scripts. Beginning with work as a copywriter and author, she spent three years as an in-house producer working across development and post-production. Over the past four years, she has focused on developing long-form fiction scripts, as well as all four of the shorts she produced at the NFTS. Her stop-motion animation "Mom's Spaghetti" was shortlisted for the BAFTA Yugo award, a finalist for the student Oscars and premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival. Her live-action grad film won the gold YDA at Cannes Lions. Her MA in Producing at the NFTS was supported by BAFTA scholarship. Mentored by script consultant Sarah Golding ("Censor", "Lady Macbeth"), she honed her skills in writing and conceptualising full treatments for TV & Film. She also took part in the BFI Producers Lab, was in the first cohort of We Are Parable/Channel 4’s “Momentum” industry mentoring programme, and took part in the Pro-Create/TNBFC year-long programme. She has a feature in development with BBC Film and is in the early development stages of two TV series. She is actively establishing a joint slate for international co-production with producing partner Kurban Kassam (Exec at Pulse, Producer: "Jungle", "The Party"). She has also worked on the development of "I (Who Have Nothing)", a Shirley Bassey biopic with Rainy Day Films, supported by BFI and Film Cymru, and is developing Nathaniel Martello White's second feature with BFI.
