Gemma Mushington

Gemma is an up and coming young screenwriter from East London and is a recent recipient of Neal Street Production’s Screenwriting Bursary supporting and training emerging Black, Asian and ethnic minority screenwriters. Gemma graduated from Royal Holloway University in 2018 with a First Class degree in Film, Television and Digital Production, specialising in screenwriting and her scripts have been longlisted for the Thousand Films and BBC Script Room Drama competitions. Her short-form script was among the top 8% for the BBC InterConnected contest in 2020. Gemma writes heartfelt character-led comedy and drama and balances her career as a writer with freelancing in fitness.
