George is a director and dramaturg who trained on the National Theatre Studio Directors Course. He is the co-founder and artistic director of the Olivier Award-winning Papatango. He is the recipient of The Genesis Foundation Prize, recognising an outstanding mentor of young artistic talent, and was named one of The Stage’s 25 theatremakers to watch in 2022 and beyond.
As a director, he has twice been nominated for an Off West End Award for Best Director and has acted as dramaturg on all of Papatango’s productions, including the Olivier Award-winning Old Bridge by Igor Memić.
