Haleema Mirza is a bright and prolific young writer from East London specialising in comedy, drama and science fiction. She is a graduate of the prestigious National Film and Television School with an MA in Screenwriting. Her sitcom, INTERNALISED, was shortlisted for the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award and also performed at The Soho Theatre as part of The Comedy Project (directed by Charlie Hanson). Her most recent script, RIVERS OF BLOOD, is a dystopian drama/thriller series. Haleema is currently developing a series of webisodes called CARRY ON as well as an animated comedy series with Tim Fraser. Haleema also has experience working in production. She is assisting Charlie Hanson on the set of Ricky Gervais' most recent TV series, AFTER LIFE. Haleema has had numerous articles published online on websites such as The Huffington Post and Gal-Dem.
