Ian Martin

Ian is an Emmy and WGA award winning writer. He was nominated for two BAFTAs and won the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Screenplay for co-writing the feature film THE DEATH OF STALIN for Armando Iannucci. It was the opening film at TIFF, a Spotlight film at Sundance and a big success at the box office.

Ian won an Emmy and two WGA awards for his writing on Armando Iannucci's VEEP and was a core member of all series of the BAFTA winning comedy series THE THICK OF IT. He has also written across the first and upcoming second series of AVENUE 5 for HBO.

Ian's current TV work includes multiple book to series adaptations for Fremantle, Brouhaha and for independent producer Kara Ross in the US, and on the feature side he is developing projects with Circle Pictures and Barraca Producciones. He has also written two political humour books for Bloomsbury.
