Jon is an Olivier and two-time Tony award-winning lighting designer. He has designed extensively in the West End, on Broadway and with many companies in the UK and internationally.

Jon won the Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Play in 2022 and 2025, for The Lehman Trilogy and Stranger Things: The First Shadow respectively. He won the Olivier Award for Best Lighting Design in 2019 for The Inheritance.

Jon also won the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for his work on Stranger Things: The First Shadow and won the Outer Critics Circle Award for The Lehman Trilogy on Broadway. Jon was the recipient of the 2024 Profile Award for Outstanding Year in Theatre Lighting Design.
