Joseph Pelling

Joe Pelling is a BAFTA-winning British director, writer, and animator best known as the co-creator and director of the cult web series and tv show Don't Hug Me I'm Scared. Celebrated for his distinctive blend of comedy, surrealism, and handcrafted visual storytelling, his work has earned a devoted global audience and widespread critical recognition. In 2023, Pelling received a BAFTA for Production Design alongside Becky Sloan for Don't Hug Me I'm Scared. More recently, he co-wrote and directed the  Make That Movie  a 6 part scripted comedy Channel 4 with comedian Sam Campbell.
