Kayleigh Llewellyn has been named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit 2019, she is also a Broadcast Hotshot, a BFI Flare Mentee and the recipient of the BAFTA Rocliffe New Comedy Writing Award.
Kayleigh is the writer, creator and executive producer of new comedy drama series IN MY SKIN, which will air on BBC Three and BBC Wales in spring 2020. The pilot episode for In My Skin won two BAFTA Cymru awards for Best Drama and Best Actress.
Kayleigh is currently writing a film, LOVE & GLORY, for BBC One about the first same sex couple to win a medal together at an Olympic games.
Alongside this Kayleigh has two original series’ in development: 355 DAYS which has received a script commission from Abi Morgan’s production company Little Chick and 42; and BEV & SUE, which has received a script commission from Expectation Entertainment.
Kayleigh’s previous credits include writing on STELLA (Sky1), CASUALTY (BBC1), and her short film OH-BE-JOYFUL has screened at film festivals around the world and won numerous awards.
