Kitty Percy is an award-winning screenwriter known both for original work and for adaptations in film and TV. Her debut feature SHE WILL (Brit List 2018, dir. Charlotte Colbert) stars Alice Krige, Rupert Everett and Malcom McDowell, with a score by Clint Mansell. Selected for the Cannes Great 8 showcase, its premiere at London Film Festival will be followed by a theatrical release later this year. Kitty’s original drama TROUBLE, created for the prestigious Channel 4 Screenwriting Course, is in development with Synchronicity Films, alongside several other original projects with independent production companies. Kitty’s first episode of new BBC drama series SISTER BONIFACE MYSTERIES aired in March, and her follow-up episode for season two shoots this summer. High profile book-to-screen commissions include THE GATECRASHER, starring Famke Janssen, from the novel by Sophie Kinsella; Maurice Gleitzman’s YA hit GRACE; and DARKNESS FALLS, adapted from ‘The Vanishing of Katharina Linden’ by Helen Grant, which follows a misfit teen as she attempts to unravel mysterious disappearances in a small Black Forest town. Kitty is also developing a short film from her own prize-winning script, with a view to her directorial debut.

Unafraid to tackle complex emotional themes surrounding relationships, social dynamics and sexual politics, Kitty has an uncanny aptitude for pace and atmosphere across a range of genres including drama, crime, horror, high-concept ‘near fi’ and comedy.
