Kudi Maradzika

Kudi is a multi-award winning Zimbabwean-born writer, producer and actress. A 2021 Realness x Netflix Episodic Lab winner, Kudi currently serves as creator, co-head writer, and executive producer on her original crime-drama Bad Influencer for the streamer was released 31 October and reached number 3 in the global top series charts on the platform. A second series is upcoming on which she will showrun. Her sharp storytelling voice and ability to lead complex productions have positioned her as one of the most exciting narrative talents on the continent. Her feature film concept, Death and Its Friends, was awarded development funding by South Africa’s National Film and Video Foundation. This project was also part of the Realness Creative Producer Indaba 2024, IFFR Rotterdam 2024, and part of the Locarno Labs 2025. Her debut feature film Njuzu which she is set to direct was part of the DFM Access 2023 programme and shortlisted for the 2022 Sundance Feature Film Lab.
