Lanre Malaolu

Lanre Malaolu is an award-winning director, writer and choreographer working across theatre and film. His work fuses movement, text and sound to create emotionally charged, socially engaged stories that explore identity, care and the body as a site of memory. His stage production Now, I See was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2025, and Samskara (The Yard Theatre) was published by Nick Hern Books. His short film The Circle was acquired by The Guardian after a global festival run. Lanre is currently developing his debut feature with BBC Film and the final play in his theatre trilogy.
