Marlie Haco is a director & dramaturg who specialises in creating theatre that integrates multiple forms of storytelling to expose the anatomy of our emotional lives.
She founded the production company Double Telling with the aim of finding, developing, and staging ambitious productions of new plays and revivals, with a particular focus on work that centres the female experience.
Marlie recently directed the critically acclaimed London premiere of Chloë Moss’ RUN SISTER RUN (“electrifying yet tender”, The Stage) at the Arcola Theatre. The production was selected as an OFFIES Assessor’s Choice, chosen by the V&A to be filmed for its Theatre & Performance Archive, and nominated for four Fringe Theatre Awards, including for her direction.
Marlie was Resident Director at Hampstead Theatre from 2022-2023, and now reads for Soho Theatre as well as for playwriting prizes including the Bruntwood and the Verity Bargate Award.
