Marlie Haco

Marlie Haco is a director and dramaturg who specialises in creating theatre that integrates multiple forms of storytelling to expose the anatomy of our emotional lives. She founded the production company Double Telling with the aim of finding, developing, and staging ambitious productions of new plays and revivals, with a particular focus on work that centres the female experience.

Marlie trained on the National Theatre Directors Course in 2025, and was Resident Director at Hampstead Theatre from 2022-2023. She now reads for Soho Theatre as well as for playwriting prizes including the Bruntwood and the Verity Bargate Award.
