Mike is a screenwriter from the Isle of Wight working across television and film. He specialises in emotionally intelligent stories with genre leanings - psychologically authentic characters, operating within a propulsive story engine. Mike studied psychology, and brings a fascination with the discipline to his writing. He developed a contemporary take on the classic RAFFLES tales by E.W. Hornung for Wild Mercury – and other TV developments include projects with Playground Entertainment and Riverstone Pictures.
On the film side, he has been commissioned to complete rewrites on scripts for Altitude Films/Tea Shop, Riverstone Pictures and Little House Productions.
He was selected for the BBC Voices South cohort 2026, and the All3Media and the TV Foundation’s New Writers’ Collective.
Mike’s short story THE GIFT was performed at The National Theatre, his feature film project JULIUS (developed with director Nirpal Bhogal) was a participant and runner up of Film London’s Microwave International scheme. Mike was a BFI NETWORK x BAFTA Crew participant and was invited to become an inaugural BAFTA Connect Member. He can also do a no-handed cartwheel.
