Nancy (she/they) is a playwright and screenwriter from South-East London. Their work uses elements of genre storytelling to explore queer narratives, loneliness and connection, and the relationship between mind and body. She has a particular interest in music and dialect.
Their play RADIANT BOY premiered at Southwark Playhouse to critical acclaim (★★★★★ WhatsOnStage, ★★★★ The Stage). RADIANT BOY was written on Hampstead Theatre’s INSPIRE programme 2022 and was a winner of the RSC’s 37 Plays project as well as being longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2023. Nancy is a 'Best Writer' nominee for The Stage Debut Awards 2025.
Her play GOODNIGHT, MR SPINDRIFT was produced at the Old Red Lion Theatre in 2019, and their short plays have been staged at the Royal Court and Southwark Playhouse. Nancy has been part of emerging writers’ programmes at the Almeida Theatre, North Wall Arts Centre and the London Library, and their previous plays have been longlisted for the Papatango Prize, Theatre503 Playwriting Award and Verity Bargate Award.
