Pete Jackson is a BAFTA winning comedy and drama writer. His hit series SOMEWHERE BOY, produced by Clerkenwell Films, debuted at the French television festival Series Mania where it won the Prix du Public and went on to receive widespread critical acclaim following its launch on Channel 4 in October this year, earning Pete a BAFTA for Emerging Talent and a nomination for Writer (Drama), as well as further nominations for the series for Drama Series and Supporting Actor.
Prior to this, Pete was best known for his much lauded bittersweet comedy-drama radio series, LOVE IN RECOVERY, set in an Alcoholics Anonymous group and starring Rebecca Front, Paul Kaye, John Hannah, Eddie Marsan, Sue Johnston and Johnny Vegas. The series ran on BBC Radio 4 for three series and won Pete a BBC Audio Drama Award. He also received acclaim for his Sky Urban Myth ONE NORMAL NIGHT for Sky Arts.
Pete currently has several projects in active development including a TV adaptation of Nick Cave’s THE DEATH OF BUNNY MUNRO, also with Clerkenwell Films, and original series in development in both the US at Fee Fi Fo Films and in the UK with Miramax, Bonafide, Silverprint and BBC Studios.
