Sam Curtis Lindsay

Sam is the co-founder and joint artistic director/CEO of Hackney Showroom - a community arts centre and award winning theatre production company based on Kings Crescent Estate. It offers a year-round programme of arts and culture for local residents and produces the work of experimental theatre artists to critical acclaim.

Sam created Hackney Showroom Young Actors which helps those who experience barriers to training to gain places at many of the UK’s leading drama schools. He has taught his unique approach to making work at Rose Bruford College, CSSD, Goldsmiths University of London, Virginia Tech, RADA and Skuespillersenter, Oslo. He sits on the audition panel and is a visiting director at LAMDA.

Sam is currently under commission with HOME alongside Scottee and The Southbank Centre with Travis Alabanza.
