Sophie has written (and produced) several short films, including the multi-award winning drama THE WHOLE TRUTH, directed by Yelita Ali, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime. Her other short films include award winning (DIS)CONNECTED; female-led thriller IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL FROM HERE; LGBTQ+ comedy-drama NEW AGE which filmed in New York City in 2022 and SAVTA, a surreal drama about Jewish identity, generational trauma and antisemitism. Sophie has recently completed work on her TV drama spec, VIENNA, a powerful Holocaust drama inspired by her great grandparents’ experiences. She has been working with House Productions to develop an original comedy-drama series exploring modern, diverse Jewish identity and mental health. Simultaneously, she is developing a number of other original projects including SHIDDUCH, a comedy-drama series about trauma, healing and new beginnings; a dark drama series called GENESIS exploring family, grief and the lengths that three siblings will go to keep their childhood secrets buried; and a romantic comedy-drama feature film for the Everyone’s Invited age, WAR OF WITS, adapted from Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
