Stephanie Yamson is a Ghanaian-British writer, actor and producer. Stephanie worked as a script consultant on the BAFTA Award Winning TV series I MAY DESTROY YOU written by Michaela Coel for BBC/HBO. Her original drama series, WINGING IT, recently had a Sky Table read produced by music artist Stormzy’s company, Merky Films, directed by Bush Theatre Associate Director Daniel Bailey. Stephanie is also developing a number of original projects, including a thriller with ITV Studios company Five Acts, founded by former Bad Wolf exec, David P. Davis. For theatre, she co-wrote KRUNCH, a play developed and produced by Talawa Theatre Company which toured in the UK and South Africa. As an actor, Stephanie graduated from The London School of Musical Theatre and has worked in TV, film, theatre and voice over with companies including the BBC, Channel 4, the Young Vic and Talawa Theatre Company. Stephanie is the founder of The Ascend Actors Group and The Ascend Collective CIC as well as being involved in the Elevate Writers Room (a scriptwriters’ course for ethnically diverse women).
