Stephanie Yamson is a Ghanaian-British writer, actor and producer. Stephanie recently worked as a script consultant on the BAFTA Award Winning TV series I MAY DESTROY YOU written by Michaela Coel for BBC/HBO.  As a writer, she is currently working on an original drama series, WINGING IT, which follows a married, working mum and her single best friend who decide to flip the script on life and its traditional norms. For theatre, Stephanie co-wrote KRUNCH, a play developed and produced by Talawa Theatre Company which toured in the UK and South Africa. As an actor, Stephanie graduated from The London School of Musical Theatre and has worked in TV, film, theatre and voice over with companies including the BBC, Channel 4, the Young Vic and Talawa Theatre Company. Stephanie is also an accountant, and has worked with many arts led businesses and SMEs, including the Royal National Theatre. She is the founder of The Ascend Actors Group and The Ascend Collective CIC as well as being involved in the Elevate Writers Room (a scriptwriters course for ethnically diverse women). Stephanie is currently working on a number of original ideas for TV, film and theatre.
