Hailing from the Midlands, William Gillies is currently a London-based writer and a graduate of the MA Screenwriting course at the National Film and Television School. There, he collaborated on and wrote several short films (including the Student BAFTA LA shortlisted Who Goes There? directed by Astrid Thorvaldsen) that have played across numerous film festivals around the world.
William has a keen interest in genre, horror and dark comedy. His horror TV pilot The Witch Elm was placed on The Bloodlist 2020 and featured on sites such as The Hollywood Reporter. Currently, he is working on a feature-adaptation of Who Goes There? as well as writing a psychological thriller for London.Film Productions.
