William Mager is a writer with a particular interest in creating compelling and diverse characters that reflect his own lived experience. REUNION, his original crime drama series developed with Warp Films has been greenlit by the BBC with filming set to commence in April of this year. The series is about a deaf man who tries to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter when he is unexpectedly released from prison after committing a horrific crime. He also has original projects in development with companies including Pure Fiction and Raw Productions, and is adapting a novel for Bonafide. He completed Channel 4’s Screenwriting course, and was selected for the BBC Writersroom Drama Open Call scheme. William has experience in television production as a director, scriptwriter, script editor and Series Producer, with extensive experience of writing and directing productions featuring British Sign Language, and consultancy on flagship programmes such as Dr Who. He is currently supported by BFI Network South West and Arts Council England.
